I started a project of knitting a pair of mittens for each of my children and nephews (and niece) last fall/winter, and got 5 pairs done. I had one pair that I started but didn't complete before the weather started getting warm, for my nephew Raymond, the oldest of the boys and most patient. I've picked them back up, and it should take little time to finish these up this time. It is just a basic, easy mitten pattern, and the yarn I'm using is an acrylic, Red Heart Strata - a fun, self striping yarn. Take a look!
After Ray's pair, I'll have 4 more to do, for the youngest of the bunch - my 2 year old son, my 1 1/2 year old nephew, my 1 year old niece, and my 6 month old daughter. I still need to pick out yarns for the two little boys and my niece. I already have my daughter's yarn. She'll be getting a cute bonnet to go with her mitts. :)
